Local Engagement Manager Census 2016 Cairns Region

Awareness-raising, education, collaboration of stakeholders and community for the 2016 Census through local engagement activities across six Council areas (Cairns, Cassowary Coast, Douglas, Tablelands, Mareeba, Yarrabah Shires). A strategic role requiring in-depth knowledge of the local region, experience in liaising and collaborating with organisations and communities at all levels, and in gathering information to assist in the management of field operations, and recruitment of field staff. One of only four LEM roles in Queensland. Specific responsibility for four target ABS strategies of Culturally and Linguistically Diversed, Urban Indigenous, Youth and Homeless.  Support and mentor the Remote Area Mobile Teams in four discrete communities.
