State of the Children Report

In 2016 Mission Australia commissioned Working Visions to develop the inaugural State of the Children 2016: Children and Young People in the Cairns Southern Corridor (SOC) Report. The report provided a snapshot in time of the state of children and young people 0 to 19 years of age living in Cairns South and Yarrabah. It established baseline data for government, the community sector and NGO’s and also provided a crucial data gap analysis. The Report has also been used to inform the work of James Cook University (also commissioned by Mission Australia Communities for Children (CfC) Cairns South), on a collective impact project for the southern corridor of Cairns.  Working Visions partnered with Dr Scott Davis and Kristy Hill on the 2016 SOC.  The report is being updated in 2019 with a focus on Cairns southern suburbs.
