Training and Advisory

These courses and workshops are of particular interest to our team and particularly Tracey.  They represent years of experience and reflect our passion.  We can tailor workshops, class sizes and delivery models to suit client’s needs.  We’ve delivered in across capital cities and regional centres, in rainforests and on beaches. Our aim is to allow you to stretch your mind (and sometimes your body) in a supported environment.  We all need more time to think and learn.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Working Visions reserves the right to replace your registration reservation with another participant, if invoices are not paid by 21 working days prior to the date of commencement of the course you are registered for.

Cancellations:  Registrant cancellations can made up to 14 working days before the scheduled date without incurring a cancellation fee.  No refund is available after 14 days prior to workshop commencement. See options below. Cancellations need to be in writing and directed via email to training@workingvisions.com.au

Non-attendance / Changes:

If you are unable to attend the course you are registered on, the following changes can be made up to 7 working days prior to the course commencement.  Changes need to be in writing and directed via email to training@workingvisions.com.au

  1. Current registrant to find a replacement participant and advise training@workingvisions.com.au
  2. If you are unable to provide a replacement participant, then no refund will be payable by Working Visions.
  3. There is no refund for non-attendance.
  4. No changes or refunds can be made within 7 working days prior to the course commencement due to course planning requirements.

Example:  Department B has 3 people registered to the April course and has paid within 21 days of course commencement.  15 days prior to the course Participant A resigns and as there will be no replacement for that role, the department contacts training@workingvisions.com.au to advise of the cancellation.  A refund is given. (If the department had another person to attend, that change would have been allowed within that timeframe.)  10 days from the course Participant B finds they need to travel overseas for work when the course is on.  As the timeframe is within 14 days of the course, there is no cancellation refund available, but a replacement person can be identified.  This is done by the department, and training@workingvisions.com.au is advised and a registration is completed for the replacement person.  5 days prior to the course, Participant C advises that they are not able to attend as they are too busy at work.  As this advise comes within 7 days of the course commencement and it is not an extenuating circumstance for consideration, no changes or refund can be made due to course planning restrictions.  The department sends one person to the course, one cancelled registration was refunded and one non-attendee received no refund.

Working Visions may consider applications for extenuating circumstances to waive the cancellation fee. Please note that extenuating circumstances typically extend to sickness, personal or family emergency. Working Visions reserves the right to request supporting documentation for extenuating circumstances for participant non-attendance or cancellation.

Satisfactory Completion of Course

In order to satisfactorily complete Working Visions training courses, you must do all of the following:

  1. Attend all course sessions and take part in all course activities as required by Working Visions for the duration of the course.
  2. The course attendance policy requires full attendance at all sessions to complete the course and receive your certificate. The only exception is an absence due to extenuating circumstances by reason of sickness, personal or family emergency and religious holidays. Conflicts due to job interviews, career pursuits, weddings, personal/professional commitments or travel will not be deemed as valid reasons to justify an absence. Any absence should be notified to Working Visions via email to training@workingvisions.com.au in advance of the scheduled session if possible.

Facilitation

Facilitation is a craft. Facilitation can be a powerful instrument that exceeds more than just ‘hosting meetings’. Facilitation skills are essential in everything we do, they are indeed people and leadership skills.

Collective Impact

We provide consultancy and advisory services and training to government departments (including local government), organisations and community groups which are seeking support and advice on the implementation of Collective Impact (CI) initiatives.

Collective Community Flourishing

Those of us working in communities recognize the need for greater innovation, and experimentation if we want to accelerate our ability to advance positive change in neighbourhoods, local areas and regions.

Systems Thinking

We love systems thinking! It’s been at the core of what Working Visions does for 15 years.

Monitoring and Evaluation

The increased focus of social innovators on changing systems must be matched by an increased focus by authentic evaluation.

Intro Courses

Working Visions delivers sought-after one-day Introductory Courses. This is targeted, small group learning with 8-10 participants, which can also be delivered in-house.
